1 If a child puts him/herself in danger, a member of staff will call to the child to alert them to the danger.
2 If necessary, a member of staff will put their arms round the child to restrain them while speaking gently to them to reassure them.
3 If the child does not settle, the parent/carer will be contacted by staff in the school office and asked to come to the Nursery.
4 If the child does settle, the parent/carer will be informed of the incident when the child is collected.
5 All incidents involving restraint must be recorded on an Incident form.
