St Kenneth’s Primary School
Literacy Road Show: Thursday 4th October 2018
Almost 50 pupils from our school hosted a Literacy Road Show in order to demonstrate to parents and carers how literacy skills are taught in school. Parents were amazed to see all the resources including the digital technology being used to teach reading, writing and listening and talking.
Pupils and staff were also able to show how technology helps those who find it tricky to make progress with reading and writing. Parents were amazed to see Clicker 7 being used by pupils to write fabulous stories. They were also able to try a range of audio books and dyslexic friendly books. All our visitors left very positive comments with one grandparent saying, “can I come back to school?”
What a very successful evening! Well done everyone!
